Marcus Welz is Vice President Smart Mobility at Hyundai Motor Europe where he leads the transformation to a smart mobility solution provider and helps develop market leading capabilities to drive digitalization. As a business leader and technologist, Marcus plays a significant role in the development of new markets for Hyundai and builds data-driven solutions based on emerging technologies. Prior to joining Hyundai, Marcus worked for 16 years at Siemens where he held numerous leadership roles focused on business and product innovation. Most recently, Marcus was the President & CEO of Siemens Intelligent Transportation Systems business based in North America. Marcus holds a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Munich University of Applied Science.
